Wow this game had potential to be cool. The AI is see player - suicide charge at player. The levels are sometimes cool, sometimes not. Just feels sooo unfinished.. If you're a fan of the Painkiller games, I do recommend giving this a shot. The price dips to a dollar or two a few times a year, as well do the other Painkiller sequels. Summing up this one is pretty easy ...The Good - IMHO, Resurrection has the best level design in the entire series. The levels are HUGE, and I have more than one of them clocking over 2 hours while I've poked around working on secrets and Black Tarot Card unlocks. Large open valleys are the norm, instead of small indoor enclosed melee spaces. The designers often mix themes and elements instead of having only one motif throughout the level. Not "Let's throw a skyscraper and jets into this medieval town" mixing; more like "Here's a castle, but there's also a small cave sequence, and open field battle, a river, and a large mill."The Maybe - Unlocking the cards is rough. One level requires 95% soul collection, and the level is BEFORE unlocking a Soul Leeching card (you can always replay the level once/if you get the card later in the game). Another level (the Soul Leech card) requires an 87% gold collection rate. These two levels were the ones I spent hours apiece on. To me it was meticulous fun, but it required a lot of save/load gaming.The Ugly - The game can be glitchy. I suppose it depends on your computer configuration, but I had 3 system-freezing lockups during my 2018 playthrough (luckily, they were during a level in which I was quicksaving often). A few texture issues are also present.. Am I the only one who actually likes this game?. Well.. despite the negative reviews i tried to play it longer.. just.. awful level design.. waste of my time.. Damn, it is barely playable at all - loading goes for 10 minutes (versus 1-2 in the original game), sometimes game freezes and slows down. Some triggers don't want to work and you have to run around for another hour to find some little zombie behind some door. Design goes from quite cool to disgracefully awful and gameplay is just ruined - but hey, there is still a good side. Developers had a great idea of making maps REALLY BIG, so somehow I had a feeling of open-world. This is really cool. But technically this game is hell in all aspects, so I don't think that you want it.. cool sa sauvegarde meme pas c'est trop bien :(. Don't get me wrong, I love this series. Running around shooting swarms of crazy looking enemies with crazier weapons is both hilarious and a massive adreniline rush. This particular game, however, was built by the fans and it shows. There is little or no direction to the only way out of any level and the monsters are put into senarios that don't play to their strengths or themes. Skip this one, play the other Painkillers instead.. I liked the voice acting of the male protagonist. But it is a huge mess, you get lost most of the times, and there is no sense of direction. The loading times are punishing for simple mistakes. "hey, that water looks shallow, I probably can walk on it" Nope... you die, and you are rewarded with long loading times.
